Under the Tree Counseling has been incredibly impactful in my healing journey. Through therapy, I’ve been given the tools to work through a lot of my trauma, become more intentional, and recognize maladaptive behaviors that were negatively affecting my life. Mental health is just as important to me as physical health because when one part of you is struggling, it affects your entire well-being. Healing truly has to happen as a whole.

Taiesha Abrams has been such an important part of that process for me. She is an amazing soul who has worked with me for years and helped me reshape not only how I view my life, but also what I believe my life can become. One thing I deeply appreciate is how she incorporates the essence of my culture and who I am into her therapeutic approach. It never feels generic or one-size-fits-all. Her care feels intentional, personal, and tailored specifically to me.

She is also incredibly patient and never pushy, which made it easier for me to open up at my own pace. I never felt pressured to share before I was ready, and because of that, I eventually felt safe enough to truly let everything out. Under the Tree Counseling has not only helped me grow mentally and emotionally, but it has positively impacted my physical health and overall quality of life as well. I’m genuinely grateful for the support, guidance, and healing I’ve experienced throughout this journey.

I've had a few therapists at this point but Domonique has been the first to truly make me feel comfortable enough to see progress in such a short period of time. She's so warm but also gives me very honest and digestible feedback in all of our conversations.
